Begin a Family Tradition with us at Loch Lyme Lodge

family vacation

Loch Lyme Lodge is situated in Lyme, NH, not far from Hanover and Dartmouth College, in the picturesque Connecticut River Valley. Our mix of 21 bed and breakfast and housekeeping cabins are set in 120 acres of fields and woodlands, a peaceful and natural setting that makes Loch Lyme Lodge a wonderful place for a family reunion, family camp or a simple quiet vacation.

The Lodge is a rustic and eco-friendly vacation spot. Our furnishings are simple and comfortable; we have fireplaces and games, not televisions or video arcades. We have screened porches instead of air conditioning, and for entertainment, guests and staff often gather in the barn in the evenings. We provide Internet access in the main Lodge building.

Our cabins can accommodate anything from one to two people to large parties. Decide how many people will be staying, whether you want bed and breakfast lodging or housekeeping cabins - we can find a perfect cabin in the trees or by the lake.

Loch Lyme Lodge is a wonderful place for weddings. Use the full property, and treat your guests to all our amenities.

Our dining room is open to Lodge guests and the public. We offer full breakfast, sandwiches and snacks during the day, and our chef prepares a wonderful dinner in the evenings. Our Sunday buffet and Wednesday cookout are complemented by our Summer Music Series.

We know you have a choice of cabins in New Hampshire and hope you will consider us for your next vacation. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

Relax by our Private Waterfront

The waterfront is a popular area for guests and families. Bordered by a grassy area dotted with lawn chairs, stairs lead down to a dock, a swimming area with a sandy bottom, and a raft. Boats, kayaks, and canoes are available for use by guests. The lake is also a great fishing spot.

A waterfront buffet takes place every Sunday.

Being told to 'take a hike' is a good thing when you stay here, with so many great trails to choose from.

A Pet Friendly Vacation

We know that your pet needs a vacation too, and our cabins are pet friendly, so feel free to bring them.

We enjoy being able to continue the long tradition of offering pet-friendly lodging. We ask that you please bring a leash, keep your pets off the cabin furniture and always pick up after toileting your pet (we can supply plastic bags if needed). We have a swimming area specially created for your dog to cool off and have fun. We ask that dogs be kept out of the main swimming area and stairway into pond. Only guide dogs are allowed in the main lodge.

A Green Vacation

Green vacationIn more ways than one..

If you are looking for a eco-friendly vacation, you have come to the right place. We have always been environmentally friendly here. The cabins themselves are rustic and use minimal electricity, and all have fireplaces. We use CFL’s and LED’s and even dry your sheets outside when we can. We have our own small garden and buy first from local farms for our restaurant. We recycle and compost.
