Phyllis Dye and her friend Kurt Platt stopped by to visit the Lodge today. They were visiting from Florida, driving around New Hampshire, and decided to drive through Lyme.
Her parents, Herbert and Estelle Gesbach started coming to Loch Lyme Lodge in the late ’30s when Phyllis was quite young. She remembers it being a wonderful time – good swimming and kids her age to play with – even though it was a “terribly long drive” from their home near New York City. They came to the Lodge for several years, until Phyllis was ten or eleven years old.
