People have been holding weddings at Loch Lyme Lodge for years. Feel free to contact Jay and Amy Kelly, our innkeepers for references, or read some of the wedding reviews earlier guests have left about their wedding:

Ariel & Patrick

Their wedding was featured in Bride's Magazine. Here's an excerpt from the article.

"We never wanted to do something big or expensive or traditional," the bride says of the couple's unusual choice of venue — the Loch Lyme Lodge, a summer-camp-turned-rustic-family-resort in New Hampshire. "I wanted something cute and small-town. I had always dreamed about serving strawberry rhubarb pie at my wedding instead of cake - that kind of thing."

The lodge "is furnished with patchwork quilts and old New Yorker covers and very rustic antique furniture — a total hodge podge, but we loved it," Ariel says. "When we visited and were walking around, we said to ourselves, 'This could turn into a really fun summer camp-style weekend for our family and friends.'"

Bride and groom at lake

We had looked for quite some time for a wedding venue before we came across Loch Lyme Lodge. And my gosh is it a hidden gem of a place.

Jay was an absolutely wonderful person to work with; he answered our questions without delay and helped us in any way he could to put together the wedding of our dreams--low-key, rustic, and lots of room for creativity. Jay provided a huge amount of kid- and adult-friendly activities and was around throughout the day, helping us check in all of our guests and answering any questions that came up.

The lake was absolutely beautiful and having the canoes and kayaks there gave us the opportunity to hold a cool triathlon-style race as one of our pre-wedding activities. We had countless compliments from guests saying how incredible the venue was and that it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. Thank you, Jay, for everything you did to make this happen! Everyone else, please consider Loch Lyme Lodge as your wedding venue. It was the best decision we could have made. (Facebook)

The staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone pitched in to make this a blissful weekend. People went over and above to accommodate our quirky families.

With a family connection to Loch Lyme Lodge, and a desire to have a venue where most of our guests could spend all weekend hanging out, there was no better option for us when we decided where to host our wedding. Loch Lyme Lodge staff was helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. The whole weekend was fabulous - the site looked beautiful (they had clearly put effort into the lawns, gardens, beach, etc.) and everyone had a fantastic time.
Jay and Amy, the innkeepers, were sweet and helpful all weekend long. Whenever a question came up, they were happy to help. Our friends and family loved the place, and are already talking about their plans to begin their own family traditions of vacationing at LLL. The cabins are unique and rustic, but very comfortable and everyone was happy with their assignments. We had about 90 people staying there!
The site was very affordable, as we asked most of our friends and family to cover the cost of their own cabin (which ended up costing less than the hotel rooms at many weddings we've been to). This is a wonderful option for anyone interested in a casual, playful, rustic wedding. It was such a dream to look out on Post Pond the morning of our wedding to see my friend fishing with my cousin, some college friends and aunts swimming to the raft, and high school friends playing lawn games with grandparents.
Everyone kept saying, "Best wedding ever," which I imagine they have to say at every wedding, but it if was ever true at ours, it's because of this awesome place.
Beatiful country wedding by lake

We wanted a place for our friends and family to come together for one magical, "Rustic glam" weekend of celebration. Loch Lyme Lodge was exactly that. Our guests connected over delicious meals under the tent, by sharing a canoe ride across Post Pond, and by popping into each other's cabins for drinks and chats.

There were smiles all around. Our ceremony on the dock was framed by the clear water of the pond and the green hills beyond. We could not ask for more, and we wish we could do it all over again because it was just so special. We love Loch Lyme Lodge.

Thank you for the use of your Lodge for our wedding. The weekend was even better than we imagined it would be. Our guests were overly impressed with your beautiful location. The cabins were adorable and accommodating You made our wedding experience stress-free. Thank you again, and we will be back to visit soon.

We had our wedding at Loch Lyme Lodge a few summers ago and would do it again in an instant. The place is beautiful, and Jay and Amy are amazing and so easy to work with. We also lived a few hours in NYC, when we were planning our wedding, but Jay is so flexible and accommodating that we never felt nervous or out of control.

Jay and Amy were excellent hosts for our wedding weekend!
We rented all the cabins for our guests, and spent a great fall weekend lounging by the lake and playing in the canoes with family and friends.
While Jay and Amy naturally have some basic rules, they by and large leave you alone to relax, and trust you to be adults who can take care of themselves. (They just laughed when the floating dock broke its anchor and got blown across the lake!).
There's a great playground for kids, and plenty of outdoor activities for adults, including a nice firepit by the lake.
Thank you guys for a perfect weekend! (Tripadvisor)

This place has it all for a wedding venue. Plenty of cabin space so friends and family can stay the whole weekend. The cabins are rustic enough to make you feel like you are back at camp, but also very comfortable with showers, beds, linens, and fire places. Big open field for a tent and lawn games, play area for the kids. Easy access to the water with plenty of boats to take out. When the party dies down, a great hang out area in the woods with a large fire pit away from people trying to sleep. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, even provided us with coffee both mornings. I had numerous people say they want to come back here and it was the best wedding venue they had been to. Rustic Comfort

Had an amazing family wedding weekend where we took over the entire property. Cabins are rustic but offer comfortable beds, full baths and relaxing porches. Loved the setting and our hosts were accommodating and friendly. All that we love about camping on one property. (Tripadvisor)

When we discussed our wedding plans we decided on a fun rustic family oriented weekend getaway as our wedding theme. We wanted to forget the cookie cutter wedding craziness and have a wedding that means having a good time with close friends and family. One where you could be outside, sit by a fire, play music and laugh till dawn, be active doing things like hiking or kayak, pull together a family softball game and set off fireworks all night long.

This was our wedding dream and it all came true due to the beautiful venue we selected of Loch Lyme. We could not be happier with our choice. The cabins were perfect, the lake crystal clear and the sounds of the loons singing into the dusk made my heart fly! Comfortable beds, large bathrooms, fireplaces with plenty of stocked wood, linens, fully equiped kitchens and much more made the stay in them warm and inviting.

The staff was attentive and always friendly, eager to help make our stay more enjoyable. They provided great service to our guests during meals and kept us comfortable on those cold September nights. Patrick our chef had a fantastic grasp of the meal we wanted to provide our guests. He sought out our opinion and brought our ideas to light. The food was absolutely delicious. The prime rib was mouth watering and the chicken was stuffed to perfection with blue cheese, apples and walnuts. All the vegetables for the meal were grown on site by a fantastic gardener and really held to our eco mindset. The meal was beyond our expectations. Everyone raved at how good the reception dinner was.

The caretakers Jay and Amy made us feel like part of their family. Their easy going manner and laid back attitude was just what the doctor ordered during our wedding. When things could have been stressful they would graciously say "no problem". Often times these are just words but with the folks at Loch Lyme Lodge it was really "no problem". When the day of our wedding came we were ready and that was because of all their help. To this day I have people tell us how much they enjoyed their stay at the Loch Lyme Lodge. That is in no small part to the hospitality and friendship Jay and Amy showed all of us.

Because of the way they treated us and our guests we will always make your Lodge a must stop for a summer getaway. Thank you all for such a great time. Our wedding is my most cherished memory and we owe you all a great debt of gratitude for making our wedding a success! (Tripadvisor)
